Vampire Weekend

I went to the Vampire Weekend show the other night with some friends. It was amazing.
There we were, second row, when Vampire Weekend finally runs on stage. Every time I go to a concert I swear I won't ever go to another because I am so miserable. At this particular venue it was so stuffy and hot that I thought I was going to DIE. No seriously. After waiting an forty five minutes outside, and then an hour for the opening girl (who. was. awful.) to come out and then another half hour for Vampire Weekend to finally start, I was dying a painful death of... impatience? It was well worth it though.

As I stood there in the crowd, surrounded by sweaty crazy concert goers (where do these weird people come from?) I had a moment of clarity. Where everything around me seemed so real, so amazing, that you can hardly believe that it's really REAL. Ok, I know, that doesn't make sense. But try and imagine the feeling. Feeling your feet hurt because you, in great stupidity, wore sandals to a concert. Feeling the fat guy's belly against your back (way gross by the way), and listening to GREAT MUSIC.
YES>>>>> AWESOME. Totally awesome. Wonderful. And alive.

  1. Feeling the fat guys belly against your back?! Eeeww. And remind me to tell you my disturbing story about riding the bus in Russia. I think you are old enough...
